“Hearing the fact of our justification in Christ is rather like trying to tune in a city radio station on the road in between places. Sometimes you hear the approval. Sometimes you hear part or all of it, but it seems garbled. So we begin to think – Jesus got me the first part of the way and now it’s up to me; or God gave me a general pardon, but it wasn’t counting for all my sins past present and future; or maybe I just took a wrong turn and this is never where He meant me to be at all. But Paul’s saying that the Gospel is a satellite station – there is absolute clarity on this, there is no doubt as to what the signal is saying. Live in the good of it. Hope in the truth of it,. Risk and believe on the certainty of it. “The words ‘it was credited to him’ were not written for him alone, but also for us.” Romans 4:23
