Luke 13:22 – 30 • Series: New Life for a New Year • January 9, 2011
Behind door number one is a wide, spacious, roomy, comfortable do-what-you-want life. And behind door number two – the confining, cramping, crushing, distressing, troubled, sighing, groaning, squashing, anguished way to Heaven. (Those are what the Greek adjectives can mean here.) … It feels, Jesus says, like picking up the instrument of your own death every day and carrying it towards the place of your execution.
