It happens subtly, when we start to tell ourselves this is our church, these are our traditions, this is the way we do things, this is who we are. But that’s rubbish! And we need to say so, don’t we? We need to see Richmond in this sense is a Greek town. It needs the straight Gospel. We need to reaffirm, don’t we, that we have lost our lives for the sake of the Gospel, that our friends, our church, our time don’t belong to us. Not to any of us. It never has.”
