Galatians 1:10 – 24 ~ Series: Finding Our Identity in the Gospel ~ September 20, 2009
What the Church knew about Paul was not first his apostleship – commissioned uniquely by the risen Jesus. Not his bravery – preaching on the Temple steps. Not his religious credentials – then as a Pharisee or now as Missionary to the Gentiles. What they knew was this: his great shame that he was a murderer and the persecutor of Jesus’ church. And that God had saved him.
