Who does Jesus love? You see from this passage – I don’t think we read that there are two classes of Christian: the well-behaved and the disciplined.  No. Who is it Jesus loves? Those in total that He rebukes and disciplines. There are no others.  How can He do that? How can he not!? You will forever be, if you belong to Him, the patient He has died to save. For the Christian, this is the mirror experience  – to look in the mirror and to dare, because of Christ’s acceptance and work, to see yourselves as you truly are.
